Syahrul Niza bin Ahmad Zaini is a Malaysian fine artist from Ipoh, Perak. He was born in 1977 and graduated in 2002 with a B.A Hons in Fine Art from Universiti Teknologi Mara. He has been actively involved with the development of the Malaysian art scene where he has been involved with many private and public art galleries and spaces around the country. In 2006, he held a solo exhibition at the Art Colony in Star Hill entitled ‘Lost Land’. 2 years before that, he was also involved with the same space with the ‘Manusia & Alam’ show. 

Syahrul had also been previously involved with several group shows that include the ‘Invitation Exhibition’ organized by Bank Negara Malaysia, the “Tabik Jerry Exhibition” at the National Art Gallery as well as the “Minature Show” at Bangsar’s Maya Gallery. He was also previously involved with the National Art Gallery’s ‘Takung’ exhibition as well as the “Inspirasi PERAK Exhibition” at the Museum Darul Ridzuan Gallery in Perak. In 2003, his works were seen at the “Open Show” at Galeri Shah Alam, as well as the “Imajan Dan Suara Kemerdekaan” show at Balai Seni Maybank. He was the 1st Prize winner at the Life Drawing Competition (Orchid) in Shah Alam as well as the 3rd Prize winner at the World Orchid Exhibition held in Selangor.
